Mazuz says Barakei has been avoiding investigation

Attorney General Menachem Mazuz contacted MK Muhammad Barakei (Hadash) after he failed to appear at a police investigation, sources said Wednesday afternoon.
Police summoned the Knesset member in for questioning following a violent clash near an IDF checkpoint that he had allegedly been involved in earlier this year.
According to a letter written by Mazuz, the Arab-Israeli had been avoiding the investigation despite having been summoned several times.
Mazuz informed Barakei that he was required to attend the investigation regardless of his parliamentary immunity.
