Noam Tivon to head Judea and Samaria Division

Brig.-Gen. Noam Tivon, with Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi in attendance, was appointed Thursday to command the Judea and Samaria Division. Tivon will replace Brig.-Gen. Yair Golan, who commanded the division for the past two years. Among his previous positions in the IDF, Tivon has served as head of the ground forces' manpower unit, has commanded the Nahal Brigade and has been Hebron commander.
