Old City of Jerusalem closed to private traffic over Hol Hamoed

The Jerusalem Municipal Council and Jerusalem Police have announced again Tuesday that private vehicles are denied entry to roads surrounding the Old City. Only vehicles that have prearranged with the municipality and Egged public transport vehicles are granted entry. Police will also search millions of visitors to Jerusalem's Old City during Hol Hamoed (Passover week days), according to decisions announced Monday by the municipality and Jerusalem police. Likewise, during Hol Hamoed various other main roads will be closed to private traffic. Route 443 northbound will be closed until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
