A 36-year-old Israeli man whose elderly father is being treated at Jerusalem's Sha'are Tzedek Hospital was arrested Monday for assaulting a hospital doctor, police said.
The assailant, who subsequently attacked a nurse who came to the doctor's rescue in the pre-dawn incident, later expressed remorse for attacking the doctor.
The doctor required medical treatment for his bruises.
The assailant was ordered to stay out of the hospital for the next five days, the police said.
