Police were increasing security in populated areas situated along the edge of the West Bank on Saturday afternoon, following threats by Palestinians to avenge the deaths of seven civilians when a shell exploded in the Gaza Strip.
Security was expected to increase on public transportation vehicles and stations around the country on Sunday, Israel Radio reported.
