Ashdod police said on Monday that they suspect a 29 year-old businessman shot and killed his 21 year-old wife inside their apartment before turning the gun himself.
Commander of the Ashdod police station Dani Elgert said a handgun was found near the two bodies and that a preliminary investigation indicated that the husband had been the shooter.
Police authorities said they had not received any previous reports of violence at the address and they had yet to establish a motive.
