Despite an agreement between the police and the organizers of a protest rally held in Sderot, according to which the demonstrators would not leave the town and march towards the Gaza Strip, right-wing activists tried to break through police barriers on Sunday afternoon.
Police detained 22 young protesters and will take them in for interrogation.
Some 400 people arrived in Sderot for the protest rally calling for the resettlement of Jews in Gaza.
