Palestinian sources said late Friday night that "dozens" of IDF jeeps and armored vehicles had returned to the streets of Nablus's old city and northern neighborhoods.
The reports, which have not been confirmed, come one day after Israeli military officials announced the end of a large, week-long operation they said was aimed at destroying Islamic Jihad and Fatah terror infrastructure in the northern West Bank city.
During last week's sweep, dubbed "Operation Hot Winter," nine wanted terrorists were arrested and four explosives labs were discovered and destroyed. Throughout the week, thousands of residents had been confined to their homes under an IDF-imposed curfew.
