Sela's foster family: We alerted the police

A representative of convicted serial rapist Benny Sela's foster family in Kibbutz Nesher released a statement on Saturday morning clarifying that the family had notified the police that Sela had contacted them. According to the statement, the family cooperated with the police "from the moment Sela contacted [them]. We informed the police immediately, like any good citizen would." Furthermore, the statement read, the family had not been in touch with Sela for several years. Police praised their action, saying that the tip had been one of the factors that contributed to Sela's capture.
