A woman was murdered in Ashdod in her home on Friday evening. The woman, a single mother, managed to send a text message in which said "I am bleeding" to a man who notified Magen David Adom about the incident, identifying himself as her ex-husband.
The woman, 35, was a single mother raising her children alone. She was found in a pool of blood, and MDA paramedics said there were cuts on her body and shreds of broken glass in the premises.
Police were trying to locate the man who scrambled MDA to the scene. The man was not a suspect in the case at this point, police said, despite the fact that in the past the woman filed complaints against him.
A forensics team confirmed police suspicions that the woman was murdered.
