Six young men in their 20s from the village of Bir-al-Maksur in the Lower Galilee were arrested on suspicion of four incidents rape, kidnapping, sodomy and sexual abuse against four different women over the past two years, it was released for publication on Tuesday.
According to the report on Israel Radio, the six would allegedly offer the women a ride and then kidnap and assault them.
Some 170 youths from the area were questioned over the incidents and had DNA samples taken - a step that led police to connect the attacks to the six suspects.
Four of the suspects had their remands extended by 10 days. The Nazareth Magistrates' Court was deliberating a remand extension for the other two.
