Only 6.6 percent of the Israeli public trust President Moshe Katsav, according to a study conducted by the Center for Management and Public Policy at Haifa University, Army Radio reported on Sunday.
The study showed that some 80% of the public reported that their trust in the president had been significantly diminished.
According to one of the organizers of the project, the study's findings showed a great deal of public criticism toward the institution of the presidency and the person heading it - criticism that has been growing in recent years, towards the rest of the government and the Israeli leadership, as well.
