Those looking to lend a helping hand to Israel during these times of conflict now have a unique opportunity to do so.
The "Support Israel" flag, a not-for-profit project produced by the Web site JerusalemOnline.com, is constructed of the logos of close to 100 organizations that support Israel through public relations, donations, aliya, assistance to the poor and education.
Some of the organizations that are linked to the flag include Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, The World Jewish Congress, Habonim Dror, Beitar, Young Judaea, Yad Sarah, AIPAC, American Friends of Magen David Adom, the Union for Reform Judaism, JNF, The Jewish Agency, One Family Fund, Taglit - birthright israel, Aish HaTorah, United Jewish Communities and more. Additional organizations are invited to join, free of charge.
Viewers can visit the flag as a gateway to the organization of their choice. By clicking on the desired logo, visitors can access each organization's Web site in order to learn more about their activities and choose a preferred way of helping Israel.
So far, thousands of people have visited the flag. The organizers hope to ultimately reach 1,000,000 supporters.
