Members of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement arrived at the Kotel Thursday in order to prepare for their Pessah demonstration, in hope of ascending the Temple Mount to conduct holiday prayers. Demonstrators dressed in orange and gripping national flags arrived at the Mughrabi Gate late in the morning. Police had been deployed throughout the area and were preparing for sudden outbreaks of aggressive action. However, no violent clashes were reported. Meanwhile, up to 10,000 observant Jews gathered at the Kotel to listen to Birkat HaCohamin (the priests' blessing). Police allowed entrance to the Old City only for those holding authorized entrance permits.
