TV crew attacked by recycling factory owner

Shlomi Kedem, the owner of a bottle recycling factory in Or Yehuda, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly attacking a television crew and stealing their camera. A crew from "Uvdah," a TV series specializing in exposing scandals and corruption in Israel, visited Kedem's bottle recycling factory for the purpose of making a documentary on organized crime taking over the recycling business throughout the country. The crew claimed they have arranged the interview in advance, but that during the interview Kedem, 27, was aggravated by the reporters' questions. Allegedly, Kedem attacked the reporters and cameramen and stole their camera with the tape still inside it. The crew called police to the scene, and Kedem was arrested. Both Kedem and the crew were questioned under warning. Kedem's remand was extended.
