UTJ: 3 issues still unresolved in coalition talks

United Torah Judaism MK Moshe Gafni said on Monday that there was no agreement as yet with Kadima over three issues: solving the problem of those prevented from marrying due to concern over their Jewish status, restoring government subsidies for large families and government-funded religious services. Gafni told Israel Radio that including the issue of those who cannot wed due to halachic limitations was a departure from the status quo. He added that UTJ wanted issues of religious services anchored in legislation, but it appeared that other members of the coalition were opposed to it.
