Youths attack Palestinian near Maon; none injured

A group of rowdy young tourists apparently attacked a Palestinian shepherd on Sunday morning in Hirbet al-Tawana, near Maon, police reported. According to an initial investigation, the youths broke open a water pipe and threw several stones at the shepherd before the group's counselors stopped them and led them away. No one was injured in the incident. Police were sweeping the area for the group in question and continuing to investigate. Judea-Samaria Police had originally received a complaint from locals and left-wing activists earlier Sunday morning that some 50 settlers were clashing with Palestinians in the village.
