A group of 16 parents of Taglit birthright israel alumni will follow in their children's footsteps on a 10-day free trip to Israel this summer. The parents are the beneficiaries of a video contest in honor of Israel's 60th anniversary, sponsored by Taglit-birthright israel. The "Let My Parents Go!" contest was open to all North American Taglit-birthright israel alumni whose parents have never been to Israel. Over 60 video entries were received and thousands of voters from all across North America selected the winners. The parents will leave for their trip on July 14, where they will have the opportunity to share in the experiences that made such an impact on their children who submitted the videos. They will visit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, hike Masada, swim in the Dead Sea and visit the Western Wall. They will also get to participate in a Taglit-birthright israel mega event on July 22 where they will join thousands of participants from all over the world. "These lucky parents will be getting the full Taglit-birthright israel experience," said Gidi Mark, International Director of Marketing. "The winners will receive a trip packed with incredible experiences throughout the Holy Land that they will never forget." The 16 winners are: Renee and Alan Feinman; Nanette and Alan Fine; Elena and Peter Frenkel; Eilene and Jeffrey Kleiman; Barbara Levenstein; Judith and Wayne Meyer; Sara Robinson; Cindy and Christopher Shelton; and Phyllis Kaplan-Silverman and Elliot Silverman.
