A roadside bomb exploded in Baghdad's Shi'ite slum of Sadr City early Wednesday, killing nine and wounding 21, police said.
The bomb went off in the crowded al-Hamza square shortly before 8 a.m. in an area where minibuses were stopped to pick up people heading to work, a police officer said on condition of anonymity.
The wounded were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
