Iraqi al-Qaida head was caught, released in 2004

Iraq's deputy interior minister said Friday that Iraqi security forces arrested local al-Qaida leader Abu Mussab a-Zarqawi in 2004, but released him because they didn't recognize who he was. The deputy minister refused to disclose further details. A-Zarqawi's group is suspected of killing dozens of people in terror attacks in Iraq and Jordan, and the United States has put out a bounty of $25 million on Zarqawi's head., Israel Radio reported.
