Syrian deputy FM blasts Livni for 'vague' Annapolis statements

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Al-Miqdad on Monday slammed foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, saying that her statements at the Annapolis summit were "too vague" and that she refused to discuss essential issues like settlements, refugees, borders and Jerusalem, Israel Radio reported. In a meeting with foreign ambassadors in Damascus, Miqdad said that Syria participated in the summit because it believed that the conference was a step in the right direction to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, Israel Radio reported.
