Syrian MP Mohammad Hadash said Wednesday that reports published in the Israeli press of Syria allowing Russia set up two military bases on Syrian territory were "unfounded."
Hadash told the Qatari-based newspaper A-Shark that Syria was extremely sensitive to its sovereignty and independence and that even during the cold war it did not let the Soviets set up bases on its territory.
