A man was jailed for four years and five months on Wednesday for running over and killing young motorcyclist Tamir Moskovitz. The Tel Aviv District Court convicted Gavriel Zizovi of manslaughter in a plea bargain in which he confessed to the offense. The accident occurred some 18 months ago on Route 44, at Hashiva interchange. Zizovi was intoxicated when he hit the motorcyclist and when a woman at the scene tried to call for help, he begged her not to call the police. Moskovitz's friend was seriously wounded in the accident. The court confiscated Zizovi's license for 15 years and ordered him to pay NIS 15,000 in compensation.
