Potential stabbing averted in Hebron with arrest of Palestinian youth
Border Police officers arrested on Thursday night in Hebron a Palestinian youth, who was found to be carrying a knife.

The security forces called for the 18-year-old to stop after they noticed him approaching them in a suspicious manner. As soon as the youth halted, the officers began to perform routine searches when a knife fell from his person.

The Border Police officers moved to neutralize and arrest the suspect, who during initial questioning admitted that he had intended to stab an officer or local at the scene.

The suspect was taken by Hebron District police for further investigation under arrest.
