Fifty demonstrators hurled stones at security forces northwest of Ramallah, injuring one border police officer.
A 19-year-old Palestinian teen was killed on Sunday morning during clashes in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

According to the IDF, around 50 Palestinians took part in the violent demonstration in the West Bank town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah.

Dozens of demonstrators hurled rocks at security forces, lightly injuring one Border Police soldier. Security forces then used riot dispersal means to disperse the demonstration, firing at several of the main instigators.

According to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry, Ahmad Hazim Ata al-Rimawi was hit by live fire in the chest during the ensuing clashes with Israeli security forces. He was evacuated to Yasser Arafat Hospital in the northern Salfit district, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Official PA news website Wafa reported that Rimawi’s father, Hazim Ata al-Rimawi, had been sentenced to 15 years in prison and released three months ago after completing his time.

According to Wafa, the National and Islamic Forces in Ramallah and al-Bireh described what happened as “recklessness with the lives of civilians.”

Several reports suggested that another Palestinian was injured. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit could not confirm the reports.
