Opposition leader and Zionist Union chairman Isaac Herzog will arrive at Moscow early Monday morning as a part of a diplomatic visit in Russia. Herzog was invited by the Foreign Affair Committee of the Duma, the Russian parliament. The invitation followed Herzog's meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev when the later visited Israel last November.

Herzog will also convene with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Levrov and Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov, and representatives from the Jewish community. Before his departure, Herzog stated that he understands the great influence and impact Russia has on the region and that he intendeds to demand the halt of ammunition shipment from Russia to Syria.

Eventually it will get to the hands of Hezbollah that that tries to expand its influence to the Syrian part of the Golan Heights, which is a red line for Israel," explained Herzog.
