Adam Rosen will also be remembered with a three-day bike-a-thon led by Rabbi Nochum Kurinsky, the director of Chabad at the Beaches Center for Jewish Life in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Penny and Stephen Rosen of Brooklyn Heights, New York and Ponte Vedra, Florida will dedicate a fire station in the Upper Galilee city of Ma’alot-Tarshiha in February in memory of their son Adam Veritas Rosen.

The couple will be traveling to Israel on next month’s Jewish National Fund Task Force Mega Mission to dedicate the fire station in the northern city (pop. 21,000). Their son died three years ago at the age of 33.

In 1962 Ma’alot merged with the adjacent Arab town of Tarshiha. The city was the site of a May 1974 attack in which terrorists took 115 hostages, and killed 25. The attack awakened Penny Rosen’s sense of Zionism and since then, she has since been actively involved with raising awareness for and supporting Israel’s firefighters and first responders. Serving as the co-chair of JNF’s Fire and Rescue Task Force, the Rosens have also dedicated a fire station in Mitzpe Ramon in the Negev in memory of Stephen’s parents, Benjamin and Yetta Rosen.

Adam Rosen will also be remembered with a three-day bike-a-thon led by Rabbi Nochum Kurinsky, the director of Chabad at the Beaches Center for Jewish Life in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The 300-km. bike-a-thon next month will take place between the two fire stations that the Rosens have dedicated, starting in the north and ending in Mitzpe Ramon.
