Dozens of budding Beduin batsmen will be bussed into Tel Aviv from a village close to Beersheba on Tuesday afternoon to take part in a youth cricket festival hosted by the Israel Cricket Association. The event, to be held at Hadar Yosef Stadium, is also open for any other children aged six to 15, from beginners to regular cricketers who would like to learn more about the so-called gentleman's game. It comes just a few weeks after the Beduin youngsters, who are from the village of Hura, took part in a program run by the UK-based in organization Cricket for Change partnership with the ICA. On Tuesday the children will be divided into groups for an hour's coaching before playing an informal game with a soft ball and plastic bats.
