Oren Levy scored a gross 71, which playing off a 2-handicap left him on net-69 and in first place in the "A" Division of the June Monthly Medal at the Ga'ash Golf Club on Tuesday.
Also on net-69 was veteran golfer, Mike Ossip, but Oren won on the count-out.
Speaking after the event, a delighted Oren said, "This was a great way to celebrate finishing high school".
He went out in 37 with two birdies, four pars, two bogeys and a double bogey. He came back in a one under par 34, with two birdies, six pars and a bogey.
Tuesday was the day for Ga'ash Golf's youngsters, as the "B" Division was won by Ra'anana schoolboy, Daniel Fox with a net-63, followed by Gadi Asulin on net-68.
In the "C" Division first place went to Eli Chitayat on net-71 followed by Colin Kessel, on net-73.
With the course playing at its best, the warm weather conditions did not seem to affect the players or the scores.
The Wine Center at Gaash's "Nearest to the Pin" prizes went to: Hole 4, par 3, 120 meters: Grace Bartour who came 2.35 meters from the pin;
Hole 9, par 3, 160 meters: Eli Gitlin, 1.10 meters from the pin; Hole 14, par 3, 164 meters: Oren Levy, 3.55 meters from the pin.
