Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Oded Katash was in a defiant mood on Tuesday morning just hours after crashing to a second straight BSL defeat.
"I still think this season can end well," a downcast and unshaven Katash said ahead of his team's training session at Ra'anana on Tuesday.
"There will definitely be changes at Maccabi and I know what needs to be done. I didn't speak after the game against Holon because I had nothing to say.
"We mustn't forget that Nikola Vujcic and Tal Burstein are still injured and that is out of my control."
Tel Aviv has failed to hit top form so far this season, coming up short against small budgeted teams the perennial champion is expected to beat with ease.
Tel Aviv crashed to a 13 point (83-71) defeat to Holon on Monday, eight days after losing to Bnei Hasharon by 19 points (87-68).
The yellow-and-blue hasn't geled as a team, struggling in every facet of the game.
The team's players have taken much of the blame for the latest slipups, but some analysts have also been pointing fingers at Katash.
"I don't think you should be asking me if I intend to leave," Katash said on Tuesday. "I knew I would be under intense pressure as the Maccabi coach, but that doesn't worry me. My only concern is finding a way to get out of this situation."
