Gamezone set the pace in week one of the Moshiko Soccer League with an impressive 5-0 defeat of Kobe Beef last weekend.
League debutantes Kobe Beef started positively, but the experience and power of Gamezone saw them take control of the encounter.
Gamezone manager Dani Mechlovitz’s squad took the lead through a powerful Gaby Esusy Strike, and Michael Oster soon doubled the lead.
Sammy Barron brilliantly saved a Kobe Beef penalty before a Jordan Gold solo effort all but killed the tie. Alex Nadler joined in the fun with a thunderous long range strike before Esusy claimed his second with a fantastic backwards flick-header.
New boys Eretz Hatzvi sent a warning to the league’s other 23 teams with a convincing 3-0 victory over Super Hamoshava United.
Harley Golding led his troops in a wonderful soccer display as quick passes and movement provided the platform for Danny Kozielek to claim a hat-trick. Keeper Yehuda Fink gave a perfect performance in goal.
Jump Gym proved their title credentials with a thrilling display overcoming the new-look Brad’s Boykies 3-2.
Jump Gym took the lead thanks to an excellent Binyomin Weisbraun shot only for the legendary David Leiwy to bring the score level. Yitsi Grunhut combined well with Yoni Schimmel before giving Jump the lead and made it 3-1 rifling home from distance.
Simi Hibbert pulled one back setting up a nervy finish but the defensive duo of Eli Borden and captain Chaim Kornbluth ensured a Jump Gym victory.
Shimi Goldstein’s Red Bull Vienna easily disposed of the spirited Giblets with a 4-1 win. Daniel Cohen grabbed a brace while Nissim Karasenti and Ronny Perel added one apiece for Vienna, while Mati Baecwalt’s strike was a mere consolation for the Giblets.
LSD FC disposed of the brave Lionhearts 2-0 with goals from Dovi Werzberger and Amit Dinowitz. The Lionhearts came with courage and passion, just without any footballing skills.
Egert and Cohen should have won by a cricket score if not for an unbelievable Chaim Hommel display in the Michael’s Bakery goal. Egert and Cohen finally got a goal thanks to a long range Josh Zneimer strike late in the game giving them a 1-0 victory.
