Israel will be represented by three athletes at the European Indoor Athletics Championships to be held in Birmingham, England, over the weekend.
Michael Ailin will be the first Israeli to take the track when he runs in the first round of the 60-meter hurdles on Friday morning, with Itai Magidi running on Friday as well, in the first round of the 3,000m.
However, the highlight of the championships for Israel will likely come from Niki Palli, who competes in the high jump qualifiers on Saturday morning.
"The most important thing is that I make the final," said Palli, who reached the final at the European championships last year. "I'll have to be at my best to reach the final, but if nothing goes wrong on Saturday, I can jump at that level."
