The impeachment vote will now head to the Knesset plenum, where it must receive 90 votes in order to pass. If it passes, Odeh will still have the right to appeal the decision.

The two Israeli-Arab parties in the Knesset announced that they would boycott a meeting between the heads of their opposition parties due to some members in support for impeaching MK Ayman Odeh.

MK Avichay Boaron collected 70 signatures from other members of the Knesset after he said that he was “happy about the release of hostages and [Palestinian] prisoners."

The most severe sanction was issued against Hadash-Ta’al chairman MK Ayman Odeh, who is already facing impeachment in a separate procedure.

A majority of both Israelis and Palestinians want the war to end, Hadash-Ta'al MK Ayman Odeh said at the Israel Bar Association annual conference in Eilat.

The comments came during the “40 Signatures Debate,” which is the Israeli version of the British “Prime Minister’s Questions”.

Odeh alleged that most of the Palestinian prisoners released "were young men and women held under administrative detention without even being told what they were accused of."

Odeh wrote on X, "Happy about the release of the hostages and prisoners. From here, both nations must be freed from the burden of occupation. We were all born free."

A News 13 poll indicates National Unity Party led by Benny Gantz wins 30 seats if elections held today. Likud strengthens slightly; Yesh Atid receives 15 seats.

Buntzel elaborated that "Odeh unrestrainedly opened his gaping mouth and fired harsh allegations against the soldiers who allow him to step on this land while not contributing anything in return."
