COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) is the unit of Israel's Defense Ministry responsible for coordinating civilian issues with the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.
It plays a role in Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank and in coordinating Israeli security activity with the Palestinians.
COGAT also helps with facilitating activities of international organizations in the West Bank and Gaza.
COGAT published photos on Monday showing food markets fully stocked in northern Gaza.
The target of Israel's ire was UNRWA, the UN agency that Israel has called on nations to defund.
"The UN must scale up logistics and stop blaming Israel for its own failures," COGAT wrote on X.
One such instance was a vessel carrying humanitarian aid from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) en route to Gaza, funded by the United Arab Emirates.
As of Monday, since the beginning of the war, 16,405 trucks of humanitarian aid were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip.
Despite Israeli claims, the US states that Israel was not involved in the inspections of food packages airdropped in Gaza on Saturday. Other countries plan to airdrop food as well.
The report stated that most clans refused, however a large clan reportedly agreed, and another one is considering the proposal.
The pause in the IDF's activities in Rafah lasted from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
