FBI investigators say DNA recovered from a glove near Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home appears to match a masked suspect seen on surveillance footage before her disappearance.

On Friday afternoon, the sheriff's department said DNA that didn't belong to Nancy Guthrie or any of the others in close contact with the elderly woman had been found at her residence.

The suspect has been described by the FBI as a man of average build who is approximately 5’9” - 5’10” tall.

Photos and video released by the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department show a person wearing a face mask, gloves, and a backpack outside of the 84-year-old's home.

"We believe our mom is still out there," Guthrie, host of NBC's "Today" morning show, said. "We need your help. She was taken, and we don't know where."

The case, brought by plaintiff Jaylynn Dean, was the first trial, known as a bellwether, of more than 3,000 similar lawsuits against Uber that have been consolidated in US federal court.

"We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us," Guthrie said.

The FBI said it was investigating an alleged assault on a federal officer near the town of Arivaca in Arizona, about 10 miles from the US-Mexico border, adding that a subject was taken into custody.

At clinics in Arizona and several other states, Mary Blakley and her husband told patients that, for just $300, they could provide a full-body scan to detect a variety of potential illnesses.

The 31-year-old is alleged to have destroyed part of the Khal Chasidim synagogue in a March 3 fire.
