Rajoub was banned from FIFA games for inciting violence and hatred against soccer superstar Lionel Messi, and Erdan called on the IOC to take similar action.
This is not the first time Israel was targeted like this nor was it the first time Rajoub was vocal about the Israel Football Association.
The Palestinians had hoped FIFA would censure Israel over the settlement teams, thereby forcing them to either drop the clubs from the Israel Football Association or risk losing FIFA membership.
In the leaked letter, Nagoga said Rajoub had been accused of “personally” promoting and glorifying terrorist in an “active and... passive manner.”
