The state basically admitted that it agreed with PMW that portions of Rajoub's statements would have justified a criminal probe and might have constituted incitement.
Rajoub was banned from FIFA games for inciting violence and hatred against soccer superstar Lionel Messi, and Erdan called on the IOC to take similar action.
Rajoub spent 15 years in an Israeli prison for throwing a grenade at an army bus in 1970. He holds several positions in the PA and in Fatah, its ruling party.
This is not the first time Israel was targeted like this nor was it the first time Rajoub was vocal about the Israel Football Association.
"The decision behind the cancellation is because of one reason only, the threats by terror elements sent to Messi, his family and to other players in the Argentina team,” Miri Regev said.
"No one asks what happens to soldiers and settlers," Rajoub said, targeting them for attack."
''If FIFA wishes to truly promote “human rights” it should start by ending its own racist, discriminatory approach and instead kick terrorism out of football.''
Jibril Rajoub’s comments come as US President Trump and his aides continue to hold off from explaining their position on the two-state solution.
