The revived Joint List would win 13 seats, up from the 10 currently projected when the parties ran separately. The seats came at the expense of Yesh Atid, Naftali Bennett, and Gadi Eisenkot.

Opposition parties remaining separate may actually offer strategic advantages for campaigning against Netanyahu, Rahat explained.

A petition will also be filed to Israel's Central Elections Committee over the forged picture, Bennett's party said.

The bloc, once made up of the four Arab parties, began to break apart ahead of the 2021 elections after Ra’am left the alliance.
