To date, David’s Circle has supported over 600 Israelis, mostly between 21-25 years of age; reserve soldiers, Nova survivors, and those most deeply impacted by October 7 and the war that followed.

In the early months after October 7, 2023, the idea of going felt almost ghoulish – voyeuristic even. Who was I to tread on such sacred ground, soil soaked with blood and tears?

"He told me he saw horrors and said, 'Mom, I can’t stop smelling the bodies, and I see the bodies all the time,'" Daniel's mother, Sigal Edri, recalled.

"We are dying here with a pulse, we don't feel human," the two said in the brief clip from the Hostages' Families Headquarters. "We are again 30 meters underground."

What were once spaces for joy and connection are being hijacked by calls for violence and slogans designed not to support anyone, but to turn people against each other.

Calls to ban Israel came recently from Eurovision contestants from this year and previous years.

The hostages are Yonatan Samerano, Shay Levinson, and Ofra Keidar, who were confirmed dead by the military and held in Hamas captivity since the October 7 massacre.
