MKs oppose Red Cross visits to Palestinian prisoners, citing security concerns and lack of action on hostages held by Hamas. Calls for reciprocity persist.

Administrative detention numbers have surged in Israel, now three times higher than during the Second Intifada, reports HaMoked.

The President’s Residence said a request had been received that relies on past precedent and that any decision would be taken only following a full inter-agency review and legal opinions.

Despite these actions, Palestinians in Ramallah held celebrations upon the release of the Palestinian detainees.

Over 580 terrorists have been released in the first four waves of the deal's first phase, with another 200 expected to be released over the course of the deal.

Once political approval is granted, the terrorists will be transported from Ofer Prison by the Red Cross to release points in the West Bank.
