With the adoption of the 2025 federal budget, the Canadian government now has clear authority to dissolve corporations identified as listed terrorist entities under the Criminal Code.

Canada exploring dissolving Samidoun as non-profit following terrorism designation

Up until 15 October, Samidoun enjoyed non-profit status, providing fundraising opportunities and tax reductions.
