Become a partner. Do something to bring the magic of Shabbat to your community.
The initiative took place in more than 1,600 cities across 106 countries, even under strict health regulations - with the theme this year to "Bring Shabbat Home."
Over the course of the pandemic, forced to stay home, we’ve come to appreciate our homes like never before.
The "Bring Shabbat Home" event will take place November 6 to 7 and offer an array of educational resources.
Many of these experiences have been traumatic, unsettling, and just plain unpleasant. But in the midst of this there have also been moments of beauty and tranquility.
The goal is simple: getting as many Jews as possible to observe one Shabbat together with the hope that their shared experience will lead to a spiritual awakening.
The organizers of the project believe that they will top last year's numbers, as Meknes, Morocco; Kigali, Rwanda; Nahariya, Israel and Le Grand Mort, France join the 2019 project.
