Virgina court blocks new congressional maps two days after state votes in favor

Virginia voters had approved the measure on Tuesday, with Republicans accusing Democrats of hypocrisy, pointing to their previous stances against partisan gerrymandering.

Old Dominion shooting victim identified as US Army veteran Lt. Col. Brandon Shah

The victim was identified as Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, killed after an IS-connected terrorist opened fire inside an Old Dominion University classroom, killing Shah and injuring two others.

Gunman at Virginia university shot dead after injuring two

In an emergency alert, the university said that the two injured individuals were transported to the hospital and that classes and campus operations were canceled for the rest of the day.
