Days before he is set to end his tenure as US secretary of state, John Kerry is speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday.

Kerry called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday to assure him that the US would oppose any codifying of the concluding statement of the Paris peace conference in a new UN Security Council resolution.

Netanyahu had feared such a move after the US failed to veto an anti-settlement resolution that the Security Council passed last month.
