A terrorist tried to stab Border Police Officers at the entrance to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron Sunday after she aroused the suspicion of officers.

The woman was waiting to enter the holy site, but was acting suspiciously. She was asked for identification but suddenly took out a knife and started walking toward the police, while screaming at them.

The officers fired at her and she was killed. She did not manage to injure anyone at the scene.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed and moderately injured an Israeli civilian in Gush Etzion.

The incident began when Palestinians hurled rocks at an Israeli vehicle near the settlement of Metzad. The driver exited his vehicle and was stabbed in the chest by a terrorist.

IDF units were searching the area for the attacker.

The 58-year-old Israeli man was evacuated in moderate condition with a stab wound to the upper body and rushed to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem.
