Things got heated in at the the Parliamentary Assembly- Union for the Mediterranean Committee on Political Affairs, Security and Human Rights in Rome, when the Palestinian representative Zuhair Sanduqa took a stab at Israel.

According to MK Erel Margalit (Zionist Union), who had arrived to present a plan for political and economic cooperation in the region, the Palestinian representative quickly began accusing Israel of numerous crimes.

"Erel Margalit is trying to beautify the reality. Israel kills innocent people, does not allow for Muslims to freely practice religion and has turned Gaza into a closed hell," Sanduqa stated according to Margalit.

Maragalit shot back, stating that hunger strike leader Marwan Barghouti was caught eating, while other prisoners continued on in the strike.

Maragalit stated true courage would be "to lead a process for peace and not a process off violence."

"Yes, we want to lead a solution," Margalit stated, adding that it was coming from both sides of the political spectrum.

Israel would act against terror, the MK stated. "We want to present message of hope rather than despair," he explained.

Margalit finished stating, "We withdrew form Gaza, there is no territorial dispute in Gaza, what did we receive in return? We received in return tunnels and rockets."
