Kids have even more fun schnitzels on their plates, now that Mama Of is adding "Ocean" schnitzels shaped like dolphins, sea horses and whales to their product line.

Zoglowek has a new type of burekas - this time filled with sweet potatoes. They're a great alternative for those who find the regular potato burekas a little too bland and like other Zoglowek burekas, they don't contain hydrogenated fat; an 800 gr. package is NIS 15. Kids have even more fun schnitzels on their plates, now that Mama Of is adding "Ocean" schnitzels shaped like dolphins, sea horses and whales to their product line. A 700 gr. bag of frozen Ocean schnitzels is NIS 25. An excellent new white wine from the Golan wineries is the Yarden Viognier, an otherwise little known type of vintage. Viognier grapes are mostly cultivated in the Rhone Valley in France, and the Golan wineries started growing them a few years ago. The Viognier 2004 is a dry white wine with a fruity aroma and a rather high alcohol percentage (14.5%); Yarden Viognier is available in select wine stores for NIS 70. Pasta della Casa, specializing in fresh pasta, markets a ravioli filled with Jerusalem artichoke. The fresh pastas are made from the best quality of wheat and only have to be cooked for a few minutes; then they can be mixed with sauce, which you can make yourself or buy from Pasta della Casa. The ravioli filled with parmesan cheese, served with tomato cream sauce and the ravioli filled with artichoke, served with a mushroom cream sauce are both delicious. You can find the Pasta della Casa in select delicatessen stores (call 09-7662034 to find out where) at NIS 35 for a 500 gr. package. After the success of the Osem Habayit chocolate brownies-fudge cake, Osem adds a new variety this winter: the brownies-fudge-orange, with added orange jam. We personally prefer the brownies-fudge cake without any addition, but that's a matter of taste; a 400 gr. brownies-fudge-orange cake is NIS 17.20. Tsabar is spicing up its humus and tehina this winter with red spices, and an eggplant salad in a spicy-sweet tomato sauce. The spicy winter salads will be available for a limited period of time only; a 500 gr. container of the humus is NIS 11-13, the tehina is NIS 9-11 and the eggplant is NIS 10-13. Pretzels are now a healthier snack with the new Beigel-Beigel varieties: pretzels without added salt, whole wheat pretzels and calcium and Vitamin D enriched pretzels. A 200 gr. bag of the beigele is NIS 6.58. New yogurt treats from Yoplait are the strawberry-and-cream Yoplait, the vanilla cream with chocolate pieces, and the Italian fruit cake yogurt. All these varieties contain 3 to 3.5% fat; one tub is NIS 3.23. Tara has a new addition to its line of creamy milk drinks with ice cream flavors - the creamy milk drink with chocolate ice cream flavor, called Choco-latte. A half a liter carton is NIS 5.95-6.95.
