10 militants killed by fighter jets in in NW Pakistan

PARACHINAR, Pakistan — Pakistani fighter jets destroyed several militant hide-outs in the northwest, killing ten insurgents on Saturday.
Samiullah Khan, a local administrator, said the strikes targeted remnants of the Pakistani Taliban in the Orakzai tribal region, where the army declared victory last week over the militants.
He said some militants were also wounded in the attacks.
Pakistan launched an operation in Orakzai in mid-March against militants who fled last year from an army offensive in the South Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
