Eleven people were arrested Saturday overnight in Hertzliya after throwing a gas grenade tied to a rope across the fence of the US ambassador's home.

Most of the people were in their 20s, and one was a German tourist.

In a search conducted in the car that transported some of the detainees, police found two additional gas grenades.

Police asked the court to extend the group's remand Sunday morning, while an investigation into the incident continues.
