Abbas to meet Mursi in Egypt, may skip Tantawi

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will meet with Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi on Wednesday the Egypt Independent reported on Tuesday.
Palestinian Authority Ambassador to Egypt Barakat al-Farra told the Independent that the two presidents will discuss the Palestinian situation, as well as Israel's settlements and what they characterized as pressure exerted on the Palestinians by the West to return to negotiations without conditions.
More specifically, the two leaders will review the Palestinian president's discussions with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about peace process developments.
According to sources cited in the report, Abbas will not meet with Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. The report said that this would be the first time since the fall of former President Hosni Mubarak that Abbas would visit Egypt, but skip meeting with Tantawi.
